The British Executioner

After the defeat of communism, people who were sympathetic to this failed philosophy were invited to renounce communism and join the West.

After a period of grace some people who still supported this old ideal were executed.  I know of two.

I was at college at the time and I went to be interviewed by the head of department in connection with my request to leave on health grounds.

As I was waiting, a man came out dressed in a "royal" uniform.  He said he was the British Executioner.  I assumed there was some play acting going on, then I saw a young woman and heard her sing the praises of communism.  He said she was sentenced to death for treason, she was surprised and was then tied to the chair by two lady assistants.  She then said "ouch" - "I feel Ill" and collapsed.  She had been shot by a silenced automatic pistol.

A few minutes later her body was wheeled out in a stretcher on wheels and I asked how she was "dead" was the answer.  She was taken to a waiting ambulance.

I was interviewed by the executioner and I told him how I fed them with misleading and false information and how I had played my small role in bringing down communism.  I was allowed to leave.

At my interview with the school head I was informed that my friend, Liz, had been shot as a traitor.

Well people who work for the enemy are traitors and the punishment for treason is execution.  So that is how it was in 2000.

Chris.
