This lady was out driving her motorcycle, one moment she was a healthy young beauty, the next BANG! she was not.
She woke up in hospital to find she had lost an arm then in a fever she leapt out of bed and her leg was left on the bed.
She went back to work, one arm, one leg as a fully qualified accountant but her computer desk job at the council meant she was asymmetric and her body could not cope with the strain and because of the pain she had to leave her work and retire on her £30 a month pension.
She was given a home and social security payment because she was not covered by any insurance.
But then because of her boredom and trapped in her flat she rescinded her social security pension and started working as a big issue seller in Wimbledon high street. She lost her flat a lived on the street as she could not afford the rent, under a train archway in a premium cardboard box.
But because she is earning her own money and supporting herself she feels happy and her income is now higher than her social security payment and she now has another flat and is engaged, well perhaps!
She is the bravest lady I know locally and may she live long and happy.
Her spine is twisting because of the strain and the local church leaders say she looks untidy and want her to be in a home to be looked after.
She wants her independence and all the best of luck to her.
Chris.
