The day I met Diana

We bought tickets to visit Buckingham Palace as a tourist several weeks in advance.  When the day came there was a short queue then we had to abandon our hardware.  I was advised to keep my mobile phone but to turn it off.

The paintings were very dull and big and the rooms were big and empty, even the electric fires were old.

I was getting tired because of my heart condition and I was looking at at huge painting and remarked that the pictures looked old to a young lady standing behind the red rope.

She said "Hau?". So I said "you look very unhappy, what has happened?"  The lady said "My husband doesn't love me.", The I remarked "Everyone else does!".

I started to feel ill and fell towards the robe, she caught me and guided me to an anti room and took me to a chair.  I sat down.

I said I had a heart problem and she asked me for my ticket.  She seemed to take notes and examined my mobile phone.

She brought me a cup of tea and I said "What a nice lady you are, why don't you marry me instead?".  She said "This is my house" "Its a State House" I said.

I was feeling better and rejoined my mother who was in the gallery.

I went home wondering who that nice lady was.

Chris.
