While returning from shopping down the road near my home about three years ago I looked up where someone pointed and saw a "daylight disk" it was a "flying saucer".
It was quite low and quite clear over the houses in South London (UK) where I live.
I carry a pocket compact digital camera so I took a photograph, one wide angle and the other zoomed in.
When I got home I found my better digital camera with a more powerful lens and went out to have another look. Another person said it had lit up red and moved rapidly and it was no longer visible.
I then e-mailed the picture to the local paper.
Some men came round and demanded that I deleted the file. They wanted to make me say that it was a fraud.
The image was published as a "what is it" image without any other comment.
Later (last week) I saw an image on u-tube that was identical to the one I saw. It was seen over Milan, according to u-tube.
