A Brief History of 1962-1963

I met my wife, "Rags" in a psychiatric hospital in 1962 where I had been sent after a disastrous encounter with a priest who had attacked me over my belief in life outside the Earth.

I had left the care of the unit and Married her in my local church in Tooting. My wife had cured me of what the priest had done to me with her love. I immediately left for a new life in America.

I graduated from London University by private study when I was living with my wife before I married her and applied for work on the Apollo project.

I was recruited into the mathematic team and used a computer to compute orbits and discussed the strategy of the moon trip.

Then the war came and I was called up to the American draft.

I was put in a destroyer as a deckhand and cleaned the decks and stuff but I slept in a hammock on the Gun deck.

Another man with me was the young Neil and we shared a friendship talking of moon flight. He was a fighter pilot at the time.

We had to be separated as the nights were cold.

Then we were torpedoed by a Russian sub. The ship sank and Neil kept me afloat in the sea, I think it was the Pacific. The sub that sank us picked us up and started the journey to Russia as prisoners. I told them of my youth in the Soviet Union and how much I enjoyed it as a child but we told them how much better the West was.

The submarine crew defected in Britain and joined the West dumping me in the pool of London.

I was taken into the hospital again but when on home leave I was picked up by the British army as I had been called up and not answered my papers.

I was sent to Indo China and took part in the fighting finishing up in Sarawak where we fired atomic weapons at the Chinese army and mainland.

When I was on leave from the army I was drugged and sent back to the hospital.

I was with my wife again but the treatment so confused me that I attacked the person I loved.

I eventually left the psychiatric prison totally broken after being convicted on a trumped up charge and brain damaged.

My case was reconsidered and I was cleared.

My wife left me.

I lost me job and had to start again.
