Theory Of Theories

Hello,
Theory of Scientific Theory is called metaphysics.
I now know that theory is bunk. All bunk.
Every theory that has ever been written down is bunk.
Theory is what is said or written down.
When a physicist put a theory on paper it is just a set of symbols that after
going through a virtual machine makes numbers.
These numbers predict the values printed out or read on dials or measured in
another way as the physical process is carried.
If the numbers on the dials do not match the predicted result by theory then
the theory is wrong. It is wrong. Just that.
My limited knowledge of physics tells me that nearly all theories do not match
the results of physical measurements.
The "model" used by physicists is only a model it has no reality, this physics
is in the head it is not real. Physics cannot be written down on paper. The
best match just means that the model can predict the real measurements the
best it does not mean it is correct.
I have particular difficulty with the special theory of relativity. The
theory predicts that two atomic clocks were set and synchronised then one
clock was subjected to a return journey at a very high velocity and brought
back together again the clock subjected to this motion will be slow and will
have lost time.
I do not understand this. The theory of special relativity seems like
projective geometry and is an effect similar to perspective. This idea
predicts that the two clocks would still be synchronous after the flight of
the wanderer.
I would have thought that the technology of atomic clocks would be good enough
for a laboratory test with a bench set up and a sled that takes the wanderer
away and back down a track of several miles and then test the clocks for
synchronicity.
As I say I do not understand it and it has been said by others but this would
be a definite test. If it has been done, perhaps the result could by posted
here as a URL.
My idea is that theory is only an easy way of using tables of results or
graphs. It does instead of experiments and so only results that are valid are
those of physical experiments.
The correct match just means that the virtual machine gave a good match and
that it can be used for any other value of the input parameter. Not that the
model has any physical meaning.
Incidentally this is the attitude of the Catholic Church. I agree.
Chris.
